DOUG BENNINGTON is a fine art photographer whose documentary work focuses on abstract landscape, nature and travel. Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Bennington finally took the arctic plunge and moved to Minnesota in 1992 thru 2021. Eventually cold winters took their toll. Next adventure, wonderful St. Petersburg, Florida where he and his amazing wife currently reside.

Doug’s images have been commissioned and published for a wide array of clients including advertising firms, magazines, art galleries, newspapers, graphic designers and stock photography agencies.

After nearly a decade shooting thousands of images around Central Minnesota, the goal of self-publishing a fine art photography book titled “Mille Lacs” was finally achieved in November 2009. One of his very proud accomplishments. 

Outside of photography Doug enjoys travel, chess, iRacing, playing guitar, reading, fishing, scuba, web design (including this site) and spending quality time with friends and family.
